Dr. Marangi completed a one-year fellowship in Sports Medicine under the tutelage of Dale Daniel, M.D., an internationally renowned surgeon and a pioneer of arthroscopic knee reconstruction. Dr. Marangi received specialty training in the arthroscopic management of complex injuries to the knee and shoulder, was a faculty member of UCSD School of Medicine, and acted as the team physician for UC San Diego. His research on knee injuries has been published and presented internationally. Over the last 20 years he has pursued his interest in sports medicine serving as the team physician for Saddleback College and Capistrano Valley High School. In addition to sports medicine Dr. Marangi specializes in joint replacement and reconstruction of the shoulder, hip and knee. He treats general orthopedic injuries including fractures and other orthopedic trauma. He has served as a faculty member at UCI Department of Orthopedics and as the Chief of Surgery at Childrens Hospital Orange County (CHOC) at Mission Hospital.
